Radiography & Ultrasound Testing
in Jackson, GA
Understanding what is happening to your animal when they are experiencing pain and discomfort can be difficult.
Our highly trained vets use leading-edge diagnostic tools and blood tests to spot diseases, parasites, and other existing health problems that cannot be detected with the naked eye.
Radiographs
Also known as x-rays, radiographs help us diagnose and monitor many different medical and surgical conditions. X-rays have a variety of different uses. They allow our veterinarians and technicians to:
Determine the size, shape, & location of any abnormalities
Discern foreign entities in the body
Diagnose gastrointestinal issues
Discover bladder stones
Uncover heart and lung diseases
And more!
Ultrasound
Ultrasounds are a safe and simple way to provide a live image of the inside of your pet. We use this image to diagnose and monitor diseases, such as cardiac illnesses and general biopsies. Brookwood Animal Hospital uses state-of-the-art ultrasound technology in our facility.
Endoscopy
When blood, radiograph, ultrasound, and urine tests are not providing the answers we need to properly diagnose your pet, we may rely on endoscopy to give us the information we need. Although it requires anesthesia, endoscopy is a minimally invasive diagnostic procedure that allows us to investigate the internal processes of your pet by assessing their organs.
Video Otoscopy
Video otoscopy is another diagnostic procedure that our veterinarians will use to care for your pet. Using the otoscopy, we are able to capture images of the inside of your pet’s ear.
